Anonymous Responds to Halting Attacks on Sony; Releases Statement

It was recently announced that Anonymous has halted attacks on Sony. Now, the hacking group has released a statement detailing why they stopped OpSony.

In a statement provided to VGN365 by the group, Anonymous has decided the outcome of the PlayStation Network shortage as well as more factors were key to halting OpSony. The group have been fighting for the gamers and no one else.

Anonymous Names Their 3 Demands of Sony

Anonymous (the hacking collective) released yet another video stating they have 3 demands for Sony and has declared war on Sony to take down Sony’s websites, originally the PSN network as well, but pulled back saying that they didn’t want to target the gamers.Their problem is with Sony, stemming from the infamous removal of the OS feature from all PlayStation 3’s. Anonymous Release Video: “These Attacks Will Continue”

After claiming that Sony’s lawsuit against George Hotz et al was an attack on free speech, hacking collective Anonymous declared war on Sony. Hoping to seek revenge on the company, Anonymous warned that Sony would soon suffer for their actions. Now, Sony.com and PlayStation.com has fallen to the hackers, with more sites promised to follow.

Anonymous, the group of hackers that threatened war on Sony, and then subsequently brought down several Sony sites, as well as the PSN to some degree, have released a video promising that the attacks will continue.
