Battlefield 3: Open Beta coming soon

EA’s COO Peter Moore is reporting that Battlefield 3 open Beta will be launching this September 29. It will be launching on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Many gamers all around the world can experience this first-person shooter for the first time with a game that’s catching a lot of steam and momentum and will most likely go head-to-head with the ‘juggernaut’ that is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Also gamers can get an up close and personal feel of the much herald Frostbite 2 engine that boasts amazing graphics and an animation system never seen before in gaming. Here’s some quotes from Moore about the game’s engine:

Frostbite 2 game engine is the foundation for the entire game – and it is state of the art. It is an engine that marries the technology innovations developed at DICE with some of the best animation technology in the world developed by EA SPORTS in Vancouver. This engine delivers superior animation, graphics, scale, sound and destruction.  You see, hear and experience the physical battlefield in a way that’s never been done before.

Moore also said the game will run at 30 frames per second, to ensure the game produces higher graphical fidelity and keeps the scale of the game larger than it would if it ran at 60 frames per second.

The full retail game of Battlefield 3 will launch for the PC,PS3, and Xbox 360 on Oct 25,26,27th  2011 depending on what region your in. So gamers, will you be jumping in the Beta? CCU wants to hear from you.
