The Order: 1886 Delayed

Via the PlayStation Blog Ready at Dawn has announced that there will be a delay for The Order: 1886.

A game, originally slated for a late 2014 release and was building a nice buzz for itself stemming from last year’s E3 reveal became one of the more anticipated games lined up for this year. Not to mention one of the true “next gen” looking and feeling titles to grace any platform.

Here’s a quote from Ru Weerasuriya, CEO and Creative Director at Ready at Dawn giving some insight as to why such a delay was necessary:

“As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game. As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015.”

Some gamers may see this as quite unfortunate especially due to the already delayed games announced, coupled with the aforementioned hype and anticipation not to mention that there isn’t a whole slew of Triple A blockbuster titles for these next gen systems —  especially new IP’s, now and going forward. But I can always get behind a developer taking their time getting it right.

What do you think of the delay? CCU wants to hear from you.
