Don’t forget about the “Deception” part

Posted by on Oct 25, 2011 in NEWS, PlayStation 3, Sony | 0 comments

So Uncharted 3 is about a week away and the excitement is being built by the hour. Reviews of the game so far have been outstanding and almost confirms this years  “Game of The Year” award is going to be one of the hardest ones  to give out — ever. As it seems this will be one of the strongest fourth quarters in gaming, with Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim not even out yet.

But back to Uncharted 3 and it’s build up, we’ve seen trailers, giveaways, demonstrations, betas, more betas, events, commercials, codes, reveals, previews and even now reviews of the game (look it up in our search engine if you missed any). Sooo Sony outsmarted us gamers again huh?

Just when you thought the remnants of the hacking were gone, Sony attempts to secure it’s future with this new Terms Of Service Agreement.

A few weeks back, in a move to protect their business, once again they used the one thing they know gamers want and need — the PSN. Forced us to sign a Terms of Service Agreement while making it seem like we had a choice, all of this so we wouldn’t sue Sony or partake in a joint lawsuit.

So I  got to ask,

Why is ‘throwing’ so hated in gaming?

Posted by on Oct 4, 2011 in NEWS | 7 comments

So a little while ago I wrote the article “Why is ‘camping’ so hated in gaming”? So now I figured let me do a follow up to discuss another realization, which is, “Why is ‘throwing’  so hated in gaming”? I know a bunch of you want to address the “throwing situation”, most prevalent in the Streetfighter series. So gamers once again, LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!!!

In that article I likened gamers that play shooters “hating camping” as a parallel to gamers in the fighting genre –specifically Streetfighter hating ‘throwing’.  So now I said to myself you know what, let’s address the “throwing situation” head on. Hating ‘camping’ I couldn’t absolutely relate to but ‘throwing’ now that’s a different story, I’ll  explain.
