Capcom is planning to release a free ‘2012 Edition’ balance patch for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, following complaints from the community that the new version throws some characters out-of-whack. Producer Yoshinori Ono made the announcement at the Evo 2011 tournament this weekend. Location testing will be held in Japanese arcades later this summer.

Capcom has outlined the changes coming to Super Street Fighter IV from the promised 2012 Edition patch. As expected, some tournament favorites like Akuma and Yun, have been tweaked to make them less devastating, though overall Capcom says it is “focusing on buffing up weaker characters, rather than nerfing existing ones.”

Capcom has shed a little more light on the PC version of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition in a blog post from senior VP Christian Svensson. Topics covered include special PC features, the system requirements, and, an unpleasant “security” system which disables features and reduces the character if you’re not online and signed into Games for Windows Live.

I had chance to play a good friend of mine in Super Street Fighter 4 a couple of days ago. He told me that he has gotten alot better with Dhalsim and that players online ( before the PSN crash) have been giving him some tips. Now I wasn’t going to play him because the last time we played I washed him up big time. So, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and played him.
