Lack of Blu-Ray strikes again. Microsoft choosing the DVD format for it’s Xbox 360 console, resulting in less storage space, cause some of the “bigger” titles, from a gigabyte and quality standpoint to be forced into a multi-disc release.
Shacknews is reporting that Battlefield 3 is the latest to be receiving the multi-disc treatment-specifically two. The game will be broken up into two parts: the first disc will feature the game’s multiplayer, co-op levels, and “installation content.” The second disc will be devoted to the single player campaign.
Also in tradition the PS3 version will be on one disc, courtesy of the Blu-ray format.
Battlefield 3 is set to be released Oct 25, 2011 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
