Skyrim: Best Werewolf Game Ever

The Werewolves in Skyrim are so great I had to make an article to stress how much I like them and why Skyrim is by far the best werewolf game ever. So I did some digging and these are the games that featured werewolves in some form or fashion. If I miss any be sure to comment and correct.

– Altered Beast

– The Beast Within

-Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness

-Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

-Sonic Unleashed

-The Elder Scrolls II:Daggerfall

-The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon

-Underworld Eternal War

-Werewolves in London

-Wolfchild

-Wolfman

-The Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim

Ok so now that is out the way lets dive into my points.

1. Graphics– I know this can be very controversial because most people would say that graphics aren’t everything but in this case I would say this is one of the most important things for werewolves. Ever seen a werewolf movie where the beast looked so silly that it’s laughable? Yes, we all have. So having that said the same principle applies to games, so werewolves should look very intimidating for them to be taken seriously. Skyrim goes above and beyond for me, so much that I honestly think it has made the best looking werewolves in any form may it be movies, art, games, you name it! I love how the werewolves in Skyrim has a balance between a beastly look, a wolf look and a man look. Lycans shown in “Underworld” the movie look very beastly and don’t have wolf tails and some people are not fans of that. The werewolves in the “Twilight Saga” look like wolves on steroids and some people including me are not fans of this because there is no imagination in that. In the movie “Wolf” with Jack Nicholson the guy looks like Wolverine from X-men where the only thing that changed about him was his teeth and hair. But with Skyrim there is a very good balance — a beastly face, wolf tail, and human   mid-section.

2. Gameplay– So what does Skyrim have to offer on the gameplay side of things you ask? Well the first thing I will say does not have anything to do with werewolves. I think that any Werewolf game being made should all be open world and have people to kill so you can really get the feeling that you really are that beast that you saw in the movies. THIS IS SKYRIM! All jokes aside Skyrim is probably the ultimate open world game to date for it’s sheer size and huge amounts of things to kill. So once you become a werewolf in Skyrim you can either walk and run with two legs or sprint on all fours. You attack with your claws and when you attack while sprinting you can do a leap forward attack that can knock your prey on the ground for a good maul. Once you kill a person you can actually feed on them to gain health back and the animation is very satisfying. You can also howl to put fear into anything around you. Watch them run in fear while you slay them one by one. To top it off there are some pretty sick executions, one is pouncing on top of a person and clawing them to death. Wow this game really outdid itself!

And 3. They are everything you would imagine and fun as heck to play with. You dont believe me? Watch my Riverwood Werewolf Rampage!
