Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Cancelled on PC?

Worthplaying writes – ”

When WB Games announced the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection in May, the publisher listed the game as coming to PlayStation 3 (PSN), Xbox 360 (XBLA) and PC.

In August, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection hit both consoles, but the PC version was delayed at the last minute. Now, despite listings for the game appearing on online storefronts, including Games for Windows Live, it would seem that the PC version never actually existed.

Earlier today, Ed Boon the Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios responded to a fan on twitter who asked about the release of the PC version with the statement that a PC version never existed. Boon is known as “@noobde” on Twitter.

@vlad228583: You canceled PC release Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection

@noobde: There never was one.

As the head of all things Mortal Kombat, Boon’s words are generally seen as definitive.

We’ve reached out to WB to see if Boon’s frank statement is accurate or if there was a miscommunication between departments. We’ll update this story if anything changes, but for now don’t expect to see Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection on the PC anytime soon.”
