Are there games that fit your lifestyle?

Fallen off the gaming train? Can’t seem to get back in the swing?

I recently had a conversation with a friend about gaming and time restraints. He fell off of the gaming wagon because of his schedule and was looking to get back on. Now I know that most people don’t have time to lounge around all day, playing every side quest in Skyrim, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still game.

As we talked, I found myself making a mental list of games that would possibly fit his lifestyle better. Being the wonderful human being that I am, I thought I could share my list with you fine people.

Now if you have a lot of time to spare then you can get settled with games like:

  • Skyrim
  • Far Cry 3
  • The Last of Us
  • Heavy Rain
  • Madden (any of them)
  • Dragon Age
  • Assassins Creed III
  • Fall Out 3
  • Demon Souls

These games take time and patience, in other words you don’t want to rush through them when there’s so much to do and discover.

Now for the full timer or full time student, these games usually fit nicely into that hectic schedule of yours. These games are lighter and a little faster paced:

  • GTA (series)
  • Ratchet and Clank (series)
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • inFamous (series)
  • Uncharted (series)
  • Need For Speed (series)
  • Street Fighter
  • Journey (great game)
  • Heavenly Sword
  • Bio Shock 2
  • Dante’s Inferno
  • Darksiders
  • Shadow of the Colossus

Now what if you’re somewhere in the middle. Not quite full time and maybe getting a certificate rather than a four year degree:

  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Sleeping Dogs
  • LA Noire
  • God of ¬†War
  • Portal 2
  • Castlevania Lords of Shadow

These games might be more your speed. So whatever your lifestyle, you don’t have to give up gaming all together, simply adjust.

This is my list, what’s yours?

CCU wants to hear from you.
