As expected, the Supreme Court has come to a decision in a case that would ultimately determine if video games can qualify for First Amendment protection. The answer was overwhelming a “yes,” as the court ruled in favor of the games industry 7-2. The full decision summarizes it quite clearly:
Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Trailer
Namco Bandai Games released a trailer today for their upcoming Dragon Ball Z game entitled “Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi”. At the end of the trailer the date was revealed which is set for an October 25, 2011 release for Ps3 and Xbox 360. I’ve personally played the Tenkaichi for the Nintendo Wii and had a good time with them so I’m curious if this one will be as good as the others or better.

The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is planning to investigate allegations that employees of Team Bondi were overworked during the development of LA Noire. In addition to omitting staff from the end credits of the game, various developers have told IGN that 100+ hour working weeks weren’t uncommon, and that studio manager Brendan McNamara was difficult to work with. “It’s one thing for him to be angry behind closed doors, but it was incredibly common for him to scream at whoever was pissing him off in the middle of the office,” one developer recounted.
